In the historic and quaint town of Golden, you can shop at over 50 boutiques and shops offering everything from outdoor gear to home decor, quilts, and cards, and also enjoy the large Holiday Art Market at the new Foothills Art Center. There, you will find one-of-a-kind artisan gifts from more than 100 local Colorado artists, featuring fine ceramics, glasswork jewelry, paintings, woodworking, photography, and special holiday items. Other options include a tour of the Coors Brewery (30 to 40 minutes or double that time if sampling) or the Colorado Railroad Museum, which has over 100 locomotives, passenger cars, and cabooses. There's a rail roundhouse with a working hand-operated turntable, an 1880s-replica Depot Museum, and miniature H.O. model railroad cities.
