Then venture deep into the Alaskan wilderness on unforgettable float-plane adventures to Lake Clark National Park and Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park, where you'll have rare opportunities to photograph coastal Brown Bears up close and watch them catch salmon at one of the world's most famous bear-viewing locations. Day 1: September 10 | Friday
Arrive Anchorage
Arrive in Anchorage and settle into your hotel. Enjoy a relaxed arrival day with time to arrive from your home city, settle in, and prepare for the incredible Alaska adventure ahead.

Day 2: September 11 | Saturday
Anchorage → Talkeetna
Travel north toward the historic town of Talkeetna, enjoying spectacular views of the Alaska Range and Mount McKinley along the way. For those who choose the optional Alaska Railroad experience, enjoy a scenic morning train journey from Anchorage to Talkeetna. Others will travel by van.
After arriving in Talkeetna, explore this charming Alaska town before heading out on an exciting wilderness jet boat adventure. Cruise through the surrounding rivers and backcountry, taking in the mountains, forests and wild landscapes from a unique perspective.

Day 3: September 12 | Sunday
Talkeetna → Girdwood | Fall Colors & Scenic Photography
Spend part of the morning exploring the Talkeetna and McKinley area before beginning the journey south toward Girdwood. This is our fall-colors and scenic photography day, with opportunities to capture colorful landscapes, mountain views and Alaska's wildlife along the way.
Continue toward the Chugach Mountains and the scenic community of Girdwood.

Day 4: September 13 | Monday
Girdwood → Homer | Alaska Wildlife & Kenai Peninsula
Begin the day with a visit to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, where you'll have the opportunity to photograph some of Alaska's iconic wildlife. Continue south through the spectacular Kenai Peninsula, surrounded by dramatic mountains, forests and coastal scenery.
Arrive in Homer, located at the end of the famous 4½-mile Homer Spit, where Kachemak Bay meets Cook Inlet.

Day 5: September 14 | Tuesday
Lake Clark National Park | Coastal Brown Bear Adventure
Today brings one of the major highlights of our Alaska adventure. Take a spectacular float-plane flight from Homer into the remote wilderness of Lake Clark National Park, one of the country's least-visited national parks.
Experience an unforgettable encounter with coastal Brown Bears from a covered pontoon boat, providing an extraordinary eye-level perspective for wildlife photography. Enjoy a smoked-salmon lunch at Mt. Redoubt Resort before returning by float plane to Homer.

Day 6: September 15 | Wednesday
Homer → Brooks Falls | Katmai National Park
Today we journey to one of the world's most famous bear-viewing destinations—Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park. Fly by float plane into the wilderness for a rare overnight stay surrounded by Alaska's spectacular landscapes.
Brooks Falls is renowned for its Brown Bears fishing for salmon as they leap from the river. Our overnight stay gives us the exceptional opportunity to photograph the bears during the evening and again the following morning, after the crowds of day visitors have departed.

Home
Enjoy one final morning of bear viewing and photography at Brooks Falls before departing by float plane for Anchorage. From Anchorage, connect with your flights home, bringing this unforgettable Alaska wildlife and fall-colors adventure to a close.

Arrive in Anchorage and settle into your hotel. Enjoy a relaxed evening in Alaska's largest city and get ready for an exciting day of scenic rail travel, wildlife and glaciers.
Overnight: Anchorage
Day 2: September 9 | Thursday
Anchorage → Seward | Rail-to-Sail Adventure
Travel by the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Seward, following the spectacular shores of Turnagain Arm and the dramatic Chugach Mountains. In Seward, board a scenic wildlife and glacier cruise through the Kenai Fjords area.
Watch for whales, sea otters, sea lions, puffins and eagles while cruising past towering glaciers, rugged coastlines and breathtaking Alaskan scenery. After the cruise, return to Anchorage by rail.

Day 3: September 10 | Friday
Anchorage | Main Group Arrival
Enjoy a free morning in Anchorage and time to relax before the main group arrives. Meet the rest of the travelers and prepare for the beginning of the Alaska Grizzly Bear & Fall Colors Safari.

The Alaska Grizzly Bear & Fall Colors Safari is priced at $7,950 per person, double occupancy.
This exclusive adventure is limited to 7 guests, allowing for a more intimate and personalized wildlife experience. The price reflects the unique nature of this journey, including multiple spectacular float-plane excursions into remote bear-viewing locations that are inaccessible by road.
The trip includes extraordinary experiences at Lake Clark National Park and Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park, including a rare overnight stay at Brooks Falls. Similar Alaska bear-viewing trips can cost $8,000 or more per person, with some comparable programs priced significantly higher and still not including the Brooks Falls overnight experience.
Solo pricing will be provided based on availability.
Prices are based on the package inclusions and accommodations outlined in the itinerary. Final pricing is subject to availability and may vary based on travel dates, occupancy, float-plane operating costs, fuel prices, and any changes to the itinerary.
Please note that travel insurance, airfare to and from Alaska, optional activities, personal expenses, and any items not specifically listed in the itinerary are not included unless otherwise stated.
Optional Pre-Extension
An optional Rail-to-Sail Pre-Extension is available for travelers who would like to experience even more of Alaska. This includes an Alaska Railroad journey from Anchorage to Seward, a wildlife and glacier cruise through Resurrection Bay and Kenai Fjords National Park, and a return train journey to Anchorage.
This additional experience offers opportunities to see whales, sea otters, sea lions, puffins, eagles and massive tidewater glaciers, providing a spectacular complement to the bear-viewing adventure.
