Day 1: February 7, 2027
Denver to Rock Springs

Begin your Yellowstone & Grand Teton Winter Adventure by meeting your guide from Southwest Adventure Tours in Denver before traveling north through scenic Wyoming to Rock Springs. Along the journey, enjoy lunch and a memorable winter train ride at Terry Bison Ranch, where heated narrated train cars provide close-up views of roaming bison and even the chance to hand-feed them. After continuing to Rock Springs, enjoy a group dinner before checking into your comfortable hotel for the evening. This first day offers the perfect introduction to the adventure ahead, combining Western charm, wildlife encounters, and beautiful winter landscapes.
Day 2: February 8, 2027
Rock Springs to West Yellowstone
After checking out of Best Western Outlaw Inn, continue your winter journey through the stunning landscapes of Idaho and Montana en route to West Yellowstone for a two-night stay. Travel through the scenic Island Park region while taking in breathtaking views of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, known for its snow-covered forests and mountain scenery. Upon arrival in the charming gateway town of West Yellowstone, check in at Kelly Inn West Yellowstone or a similar hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure with dinner on your own. This relaxing travel day showcases the beauty of the Northern Rockies and prepares you for the Yellowstone adventures ahead.

Day 3: February 9, 2027
Yellowstone Snowcoach Tour

Today, experience the winter wonders of Yellowstone National Park on an unforgettable guided snowcoach adventure. Traveling in a heated snowcoach specially designed for winter conditions, journey through snow-covered landscapes while learning about the park’s history, geology, and wildlife from an experienced Yellowstone guide. Along the way, visit iconic landmarks including the Madison River, Fountain Paint Pot, and the world-famous Old Faithful, where you’ll have time to witness its spectacular eruption, enjoy an included lunch, and explore the surrounding geyser basin. The return trip to West Yellowstone includes additional scenic and wildlife viewing stops before an evening at leisure to explore the charming town on your own. For those seeking extra adventure, an optional guided snowmobile excursion to Old Faithful is available for an additional fee, complete with riding gear, instruction, and professional guides.
Day 4: February 10, 2027
Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride
After checking out of Kelly Inn West Yellowstone, continue your winter adventure south toward the iconic mountain landscapes of Grand Teton National Park and the historic western town of Jackson. Along the way, enjoy scenic photo stops overlooking the Snake River with breathtaking views of the snow-covered Teton Range. Upon arrival in Jackson, enjoy free time to explore the town’s charming shops, restaurants, and western atmosphere before heading to the National Elk Refuge for a memorable horse-drawn sleigh ride through thousands of wintering elk. Guided by local experts, learn about the history of the refuge and the importance it plays in protecting the region’s wildlife. After this unforgettable wildlife experience, return to Jackson for an evening at leisure before checking in at Elk Country Inn or a similar hotel for the night.

Day 5: February 11, 2027
Jackson to Laramie

After checking out of Elk Country Inn, depart Jackson and journey through the scenic landscapes of Wyoming, surrounded by winding rivers, dramatic mountain peaks, and wide-open winter meadows. Travel through the rugged Snake River Canyon with a stop in the charming Star Valley before continuing across the Wind River Indian Reservation toward the historic western town of Laramie. Upon arrival, enjoy a group dinner and spend the evening at leisure before checking in at Hilton Garden Inn Laramie or a similar hotel for the night.
Day 6: February 12, 2027
Departure
After checking out of Hilton Garden Inn Laramie, begin your journey back to Denver while reflecting on the unforgettable experiences and breathtaking winter scenery encountered throughout your Yellowstone & Grand Teton Winter Adventure. Upon arrival in Denver, bid farewell to your guide from Southwest Adventure Tours as your memorable winter adventure through Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and the American West comes to an end.

* Payment in full is due 30 days prior to departure on all Scheduled Departures.
Cancellation Policy: Please notify us in writing if you need to cancel or reschedule.
* All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable 10% cancellation fee of the full price of the tour. Any additional cancelation fees from vendors may also be incurred.
* All tours that are rescheduled within 30 days of the tour are subject to a non-refundable 10% cancellation fee of the full price of the tour.
* Additions that do not change the overall structure of the itinerary and solely add value will not incur a change fee. Any changes that require schedule revisions, cancellations, or significant updates will be charged a $250.00 fee per change, and any increase in cost will be charged to the customer.
* No refunds for cancellations within 30 days of departure for all multi-day tours. Instead we offer a tour credit of the remaining monies to apply to a future tour or trip for 2 years from the day of the cancellation.
* All tours rescheduled within 30 days of the tour are subject to a non-refundable 10% cancellation fee of the full price of the tour plus any vendor fees.
* No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of departure for all day tours and activities. Instead we offer a tour credit of the remaining monies to apply to a future tour or trip for 2 years from the day of the cancellation.
* Tour must meet the minimum number of participants necessary to operate the tour or we will have to cancel.
* Any damages to properties or penalties incurred as a result of the client’s actions will be the sole financial responsibility of the client. Charges will be assessed accordingly.
*Client is responsible for any non-refundable fees from vendors due to cancellation.

Between planning time and operation, we constantly strive to improve each itinerary and add to your convenience and enjoyment. However, should improvements be made and/or unforeseen conditions beyond our control deem change necessary; we reserve the right to do so. This may result in varying itineraries and substitute facilities or attractions of equivalent or better value. In the event of national or local holidays, certain listed features i.e.. museums, attractions, etc., may be affected or unavailable. If cancellation of a scheduled activity is encountered, we will endeavor to provide a suitable substitute if at all possible.
