Mighty 5 Trip Itinerary

Day 1: October 11, 2026

Denver to Moab

Begin your Mighty 5 Trip by meeting your guide from Southwest Adventure Tours and traveling west through Colorado into the red rock landscapes of Moab. Journey along scenic Interstate 70, surrounded by dramatic desert vistas and canyon scenery, before arriving in this iconic adventure town known for its outdoor recreation, local restaurants, breweries, galleries, and shops. In the evening, enjoy a welcome group dinner and free time to explore Moab’s lively downtown atmosphere before checking in at Hyatt Place Moab or a similar hotel for the evening. Lunch and dinner are included today.

Day 2: October 12, 2026

Arches National Park & Sunset Jeep Tour

Explore the incredible red rock landscapes of Arches National Park with visits to iconic formations including Park Avenue, Courthouse Towers, Balanced Rock, and the Delicate Arch Viewpoint before hiking to the magnificent Landscape Arch and exploring the scenic Windows Section, home to Double Arch, North Window, South Window, and Turret Arch. In the evening, experience the thrill of a sunset off-road adventure with Outlaw Adventure Tours along the legendary Hell's Revenge trail aboard a custom open-air Jeep Wrangler, where dramatic slickrock terrain, panoramic desert views, and vibrant sunset colors create an unforgettable Moab experience.

Day 3: October 13, 2026

Moab to Springdale

Check out from Hyatt Place Moab and enjoy a scenic drive through southern Utah toward Springdale, gateway to Zion National Park. Along the way, discover the stunning beauty of Kolob Canyons and travel the winding Kolob Canyons Road, a scenic byway climbing more than 1,100 feet through dramatic red rock landscapes and towering canyon walls. At the end of the road, enjoy the easy hike to Timber Creek Overlook Trail, where sweeping panoramic views of the Kolob region and surrounding Zion wilderness await. Afterward, continue to Springdale and check in at Bumbleberry Inn, where the evening is yours to relax and enjoy at leisure.

Day 4: October 14, 2026

Zion National Park

Spend the day discovering the dramatic landscapes of Zion National Park while exploring the spectacular Main Canyon aboard the park shuttle, stopping at iconic viewpoints and trailheads throughout the park. Enjoy scenic hikes such as Emerald Pools Trail for hidden waterfalls and lush canyon scenery or stroll the Riverside Walk to the entrance of The Narrows along the Virgin River. For more adventurous hiking, challenge yourself on the trail toward Angels Landing or hike to Scout Lookout for sweeping canyon views, while other excellent moderate options include the Sand Bench Trail and Observation Point. Later in the afternoon, venture to the eastern side of Zion to experience the historic Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel and hike the scenic Canyon Overlook Trail, where breathtaking views of the canyon and Petrified Sand Dunes provide the perfect setting to watch the sunset.

Day 5: October 15, 2026

Zion & Bryce Canyon National Parks

Check out from Bumbleberry Inn and journey toward Bryce Canyon National Park, beginning with a final scenic drive through the eastern section of Zion National Park and the historic Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel. Continue along the breathtaking Utah State Route 12 toward Bryce Canyon, where you’ll explore some of the park’s most iconic viewpoints including Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point, Natural Bridge, and Rainbow Point / Yovimpa Point. For those interested in hiking, descend below the rim on the scenic Queens Garden Trail and Navajo Loop Trail combination hike through towering hoodoos and colorful rock formations. In the evening, return to the Bryce Amphitheater to witness a spectacular sunset over the glowing red rock landscape before enjoying a group dinner at Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn, your home for the evening.

Day 6: October 16, 2026

Capitol Reef National Park

Check out from Best Western Plus Ruby's Inn and continue east along the spectacular Utah State Route 12 through Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, one of the most scenic drives in the American Southwest. Along the route, pass across the narrow Hogsback ridge, through the beautiful Calf Creek canyon area, and alongside the dramatic Gray Cliffs and Kaiparowits Plateau, a region known for important dinosaur fossil discoveries. Upon arrival at Capitol Reef National Park, explore the park’s colorful cliffs, historic orchards, ancient petroglyphs, and scenic desert landscapes while driving the Capitol Reef Scenic Drive and stopping at Panorama Point for sweeping views. Enjoy the moderate hike to Hickman Bridge, a stunning natural bridge towering above the Fremont River, with optional additional hikes including Cohab Canyon Trail, Cassidy Arch, Chimney Rock Trail, or Sulphur Creek. Later, arrive in Torrey and check in at Capitol Reef Resort for a relaxing evening.

Day 7: October 17, 2026

Goblin Valley & Canyonlands National Park

Check out from Capitol Reef Resort and travel east toward Moab, stopping along the way to explore the fascinating rock formations of Goblin Valley State Park, famous for its otherworldly sandstone hoodoos and unique desert landscape. Continue to Canyonlands National Park and hike to the iconic Mesa Arch, one of the most photographed arches in the American Southwest, offering spectacular views over the canyon below. Explore the scenic overlooks and rim trails of the Island in the Sky district, visit ancient Ancestral Puebloan Granary sites, and enjoy panoramic vistas from Grand View Point. A scenic drive along the Colorado River reveals remarkable ancient petroglyphs carved into the towering red rock canyon walls. In the late afternoon, head to Dead Horse Point State Park to witness a breathtaking desert sunset before checking in at MainStay Suites Moab Near Arches National Park for the evening.

Departure

Check out from MainStay Suites Moab Near Arches National Park and begin the long scenic return journey along Interstate 70 toward Denver, passing through ever-changing desert and mountain landscapes as you leave the red rock country of Moab behind. This final drive offers a reflective end to the journey, with wide-open vistas, dramatic canyon scenery, and stretches of rugged wilderness along the way. Upon arrival in Denver, the adventure concludes with a farewell to your guide after an unforgettable exploration of Utah’s most iconic national parks and landscapes.

Deposit Policy: Scheduled Departures, Day Tours, Custom Private Guided, Self-Drive Tours. 

* Minimum 25% deposit is due at time of reservation. 

* Payment in full is due 30 days prior to departure on all Scheduled Departures.

 

Cancellation Policy: Please notify us in writing if you need to cancel or reschedule.

* All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable 10% cancellation fee of the full price of the tour. Any additional cancelation fees from vendors may also be incurred.

* All tours that are rescheduled within 30 days of the tour are subject to a non-refundable 10% cancellation fee of the full price of the tour.

* Additions that do not change the overall structure of the itinerary and solely add value will not incur a change fee. Any changes that require schedule revisions, cancellations, or significant updates will be charged a $250.00 fee per change, and any increase in cost will be charged to the customer. 

* No refunds for cancellations within 30 days of departure for all multi-day tours. Instead we offer a tour credit of the remaining monies to apply to a future tour or trip for 2 years from the day of the cancellation.

* All tours rescheduled within 30 days of the tour are subject to a non-refundable 10% cancellation fee of the full price of the tour plus any vendor fees.

* No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of departure for all day tours and activities. Instead we offer a tour credit of the remaining monies to apply to a future tour or trip for 2 years from the day of the cancellation.

* Tour must meet the minimum number of participants necessary to operate the tour or we will have to cancel.

* Any damages to properties or penalties incurred as a result of the client’s actions will be the sole financial responsibility of the client. Charges will be assessed accordingly.    

*Client is responsible for any non-refundable fees from vendors due to cancellation.

Itinerary Variations: Tours are usually planned months or even a year or more in advance. Between planning time and operation, we constantly strive to improve each itinerary and add to your convenience and enjoyment. However, should improvements be made and/or unforeseen conditions beyond our control deem change necessary; we reserve the right to do so. This may result in varying itineraries and substitute facilities or attractions of equivalent or better value. In the event of national or local holidays, certain listed features i.e.. museums, attractions, etc., may be affected or unavailable. If cancellation of a scheduled activity is encountered, we will endeavor to provide a suitable substitute if at all possible.
