Day 1: October 5 | Thursday

Arrive Istanbul & Old City Tour

Welcome to Turkey! Your adventure begins in Istanbul, the fascinating city that has been home to Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans. Meet your local leader and group at 1:00 PM before heading out on a guided tour of Istanbul’s Old City. Visit the ancient Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, and Suleymaniye Mosque. This evening, enjoy some free time to explore or join your fellow travelers for an authentic Turkish dinner.

Day 2: October 6 | Friday

Istanbul to Canakkale & Gallipoli

After breakfast, travel to Canakkale, a port city on the southern shore of the Dardanelles. Along the way, take a fully guided tour of the Gallipoli Peninsula, visiting significant World War I sites including ANZAC Cove, Brighton Beach, and the ANZAC Commemorative Site. Take in the beautiful views across the Dardanelles before continuing to Canakkale, where you’ll have a free evening to relax and enjoy dinner. Travel time is approximately 6 hours.

Day 3: October 7 | Saturday

Troy & Selcuk

Travel this morning to the ancient city of Troy, where you’ll explore the archaeological ruins with your leader and see a replica of the legendary Trojan Horse. Learn about the fascinating history of this ancient city before continuing to Selcuk. Once there, enjoy a leader-led orientation walk through the town, passing the Isa Bey Mosque and the impressive Byzantine citadel of the Grand Fortress. The remainder of the day is free to explore at your own pace. Travel time is approximately 6 hours.

Day 4: October 8 | Sunday

Ephesus & Overnight Train to Konya

This morning, travel by private minivan to Ephesus, one of the world’s best-preserved Greco-Roman cities. Explore the ancient ruins with a local guide and discover impressive sites including the Great Theatre and the spectacular Library of Celsus. Afterward, enjoy lunch and a traditional gozleme-making demonstration before visiting the Temple of Artemis. You’ll have some free time in the evening before transferring to Izmir to board your overnight train to Konya. The train journey takes approximately 13 hours and includes a two-berth sleeping compartment with a washbasin and small fridge.

Day 5: October 9 | Monday

Konya & Cappadocia

Wake up in Konya, a historic city closely associated with Rumi and the Whirling Dervishes. Visit the Mevlana Museum before continuing your journey toward Cappadocia. Along the way, admire the spectacular Anatolian landscape and explore Kaymakli Underground City, an incredible subterranean refuge used during times of conflict. Arrive in Urgup in the late afternoon and enjoy the opportunity for a sunset walk through the valley. Tonight, stay in a traditional cave-style hotel overlooking the valley. Travel time is approximately 3 hours.

Day 6: October 10 | Tuesday

Cappadocia

Begin the day with the option to take a hot air balloon flight over Cappadocia at sunrise, or simply watch the balloons fill the morning sky from the ground. Later, enjoy a scenic valley walk with your leader through Cappadocia’s otherworldly landscape, passing fairy chimneys, rock-cut homes, and cave churches. You’ll have free time to explore more of the region, perhaps visiting the UNESCO-listed Goreme Open Air Museum. This evening, experience Turkish hospitality with a special home-cooked dinner in a local family’s home.

Day 7: October 11 | Wednesday

Cappadocia to Istanbul

Say goodbye to Cappadocia and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul, arriving between approximately 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. After checking into your hotel, enjoy an evening stroll through one of Istanbul’s trendiest neighborhoods, where traditional tradesmen, cafés, and galleries come together. Spend your final evening enjoying local specialties such as balik ekmek and baklava, explore the city’s lively bars, or relax with a traditional Turkish tea overlooking the Bosphorus.

Day 8: October 12 | Thursday

Depart Istanbul

Your Turkey adventure comes to an end after breakfast. There are no scheduled activities today, giving you the flexibility to depart Istanbul or extend your stay and explore more of this incredible city. Additional accommodation can be arranged subject to availability.

Day 1: October 12 | Thursday

Arrive Casablanca

Welcome to Morocco and the vibrant city of Casablanca. Upon arrival, enjoy a private transfer from the airport to your hotel. Your adventure officially begins with a welcome meeting at 6:00 PM. If you arrive early, you may have time to explore Casablanca’s art deco architecture, visit the Villa des Arts contemporary gallery, or discover the unique history of Morocco’s Jewish community at the Museum of Judaism.

Day 2: October 13 | Friday

Casablanca to Fes

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of Casablanca’s most impressive landmarks and one of the largest mosques in the world. Continue by private vehicle to Moulay Idriss, one of Morocco’s holiest towns, where you’ll enjoy a leader-led walking tour. Continue to Volubilis, an ancient Amazigh-Roman city, and explore its remarkable ruins with a local guide. Arrive in Fes and enjoy an included pastilla dinner, a traditional Moroccan specialty combining sweet and savory flavors. Travel time is approximately 5 hours.

Day 3: October 14 | Saturday

Explore Fes

Today, discover Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco. With an expert local guide, explore Fes el Bali, one of the world’s most fascinating medieval Old Cities. Wander through its maze of narrow streets and bustling markets before visiting the beautiful Al-Attarine Madrasa. Continue to the traditional tanneries and the restored Fondouk Nejjarine, an 18th-century inn with an impressive courtyard. Stop for refreshing mint tea at a local café while taking in the sights and sounds of the medina before returning to your hotel for a free evening.

Day 4: October 15 | Sunday

Fes to the Sahara Desert

After breakfast, begin a scenic drive toward Merzouga through Morocco’s ever-changing landscapes, from rugged mountains to fertile valleys. Stop for coffee in Ifrane in the Atlas Mountains and enjoy views over the Ziz Valley before stopping for lunch in Midelt. Upon arrival near the Sahara, leave your main luggage at camp and climb aboard a camel for a memorable ride toward the desert as the sun begins to set. Tonight, enjoy local cuisine around an open fire under the stars, accompanied by live music and dancing. Travel time is approximately 9 hours.

Day 5: October 16 | Monday

Sahara Desert to Todra Gorge

Rise early this morning and climb one of the surrounding sand dunes to watch the sunrise over the Sahara. After breakfast, continue to Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most dramatic natural landscapes, with towering cliffs rising more than 250 meters above the valley. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the Todra Valley with your leader, passing shaded palm groves, farms, orchards, and local plantations. Along the way, learn about traditional irrigation techniques and meet some of the local people who care for this fertile land. Travel time is approximately 3.5 hours.

Day 6: October 17 | Tuesday

Ait Benhaddou

After breakfast, travel to Ait Benhaddou, an iconic hilltop ksar that has remained remarkably preserved for centuries. Explore the winding streets of the Old Town and climb to the top for panoramic views across the surrounding plains. Ait Benhaddou has also served as the setting for numerous famous films and television productions. Then, join a local artist for a painting workshop and create your own artwork inspired by the spectacular scenery. Visit the community-run Tawesna teahouse, where local women prepare mint tea and pastries while sharing their stories. End the day at your hotel, perhaps relaxing on the rooftop terrace before an included group dinner. Travel time is approximately 3.5 hours.

Day 7: October 18 | Wednesday

Ait Benhaddou to Marrakech

Today, travel to the vibrant city of Marrakech. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the Amal Association, a restaurant and nonprofit organization supporting local women through employment and training. After lunch, meet your local guide for a walking tour through the medina and discover the city’s fascinating history and hidden stories. Visit Le Jardin Secret, a beautifully restored palace complex with traditional gardens, before continuing to Djemaa el-Fna, Marrakech’s legendary central square. This evening, explore the lively square as it comes alive with performers, storytellers, henna artists, and food stalls offering Moroccan specialties. Travel time is approximately 4 hours.

Day 8: October 19 | Thursday

Depart Marrakech

Your Moroccan adventure comes to an end after breakfast. There are no scheduled activities today, so you are free to depart Marrakech at your convenience. If you’d like to extend your stay, consider adding an extra night or two to experience more of the city, take a cooking class, explore nearby towns, enjoy a cycling tour, or visit a traditional hammam.

The solo supplement is $1,200 per trip. The total price for a solo traveler joining both Turkey and Morocco is $8,400.

Prices are based on group participation and may vary with fewer registrants.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required to secure your space on the Turkey & Morocco package.

Please note that international airfare, airfare between Turkey and Morocco, travel insurance, optional tours, personal expenses, and any items not specifically listed in the itinerary are not included unless otherwise stated.

  • Deposit: A deposit is required to reserve your space. All deposits are non-refundable.

  • Payment: A 3.3% processing fee may apply to all credit card payments. Payment by check or bank draft is preferred to avoid this fee.

  • Cancellation: All cancellations or requests to reschedule must be submitted in writing. Clients are responsible for any non-refundable costs or penalties imposed by hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, airlines, or other travel suppliers.

  • Responsibility for Damages: Clients are financially responsible for any damages to accommodations, transportation, or other property, as well as any penalties or fees incurred as a result of their actions during the trip.

  • Price Changes: Prices are subject to change due to currency exchange rate fluctuations, changes in supplier pricing, taxes, government fees, or fuel surcharges prior to final payment.

  • Itinerary Changes: The itinerary is subject to change if necessary due to weather, operational requirements, or circumstances beyond our control. Comparable substitutions will be made whenever possible.
